• Differentiation between capability and conduct in disciplinary situations
• Evidence based, methodical and fair handling of disciplinary situations
• Understanding and compliance with your company’s disciplinary procedures and the ACAS code of practice
• How to set SMART objectives against which performance can be managed
• The use of appropriate communication skills and conflict management in the disciplinary and grievance process

• Deal with issues pro-actively, constructively and with greater confidence
• Manage formal disciplinary meetings skillfully in accordance with policy and procedure
